Here’s a list of the most commonly asked questions:

How do I include required signed originals through Mimeo Print?

Any signed originals or materials for insertion/inclusion should be sent in advance of placing your order to the following address. Please insert your Customer Success Representative’s (CSR) name on the “ATTN” line.

Please email the tracking numbers to your CSR so we can keep an eye on the shipment(s).

NOTE: The order should not be placed until the signed originals have been received and reviewed.

When building the document that requires the inserted originals, including scanned copies of the signed originals in their respective place within the document. Insert a slip sheet in front of each signature page/pages and label it as follows:

Line 1: “Replace with signed original”
Line 2: ‘[Name of Document] (i.e., ‘Cover Letter’, ‘Exhibit A’, etc)’

IMPORTANT: Make sure that the plex of the page to be removed matches that of the signed original. For example, if the original is duplex (double-sided), then ensure that the document contains a duplex (double-sided) page as the placeholder for that original.

Add the special instruction “MIM-D-CODK – Change Order for Document Kitting” to the document; this will cause the document to be placed on hold once the order is placed, so that a change order can be submitted instructing where the originals are to be inserted within the document. A Customer Success Representative (CSR) will submit this request, and for this reason should be made aware that the order has been placed.

If possible, contact the CSR to review the slip sheets in the document before your order is placed.

Can Mimeo pair a CD/DVD version of the proposal with a hard copy?

Yes. Mimeo can bundle CDs as well as USB flash drives (see below) with hard copy proposals.

If you need the same quantity of CD’s as hard copies (when they are both the same document), add Special Instruction MIM-D-0339 – “Create CD of this document with paper sleeve”. This will print the document AND create a CD of the document.

If you need a CD that differs from the contents of the hard copy, or need different quantities, then create a separate document for the CD and add Special Instruction MIM-D-0680 – “Create CD of this Document QTY 1-25”. This will create a PDF of the document ordered and will burn it to CD.

Will I be able to include file types other than PDFs on these supplemental CDs?

Yes. If file types other than a PDF of the document are needed (Word, Excel files, etc.), in addition to the PDF, or if multiple separate PDF files are needed, then add Special Instruction MIM-D-COPJ – “Change Order on Print Job” in ADDITION to the CD creation Special Instruction (MIM-D-0680). This will place the order on hold until the additional files have been received.

These files should be emailed to your CSR along with the Mimeo order number.

If a zipped file is to be included on the CD, contact your CSR for instructions.

Can Mimeo pair a USB version of the proposal with a hard copy?

If a USB drive is needed, then select Instruction MIM-D-0684 – “Create USB Drive of Uploaded Document – Do Not Print” to create a PDF of the document ordered. The USB always needs to be a separate document in the cart – there is no Special Instruction that will print a document AND create a USB.

If file types other than a PDF of the document are needed (Word, Excel files, etc.), in addition to the PDF, or if multiple separate PDF files are needed, then add Special Instruction MIM-D-COPJ – “Change Order on Print Job” in ADDITION to the USB creation Special Instruction (MIM-D-0684). This will place the order on hold until the additional files have been received.

How do I include a custom label on my CD?

Upload the custom label file and add it to the last page of the CD document. Select Special Instruction MIM-D-0019 – “Custom CD label is Last Page of this Document”.  (CD templates are available upon request.)

If a custom label is not ordered, our Prepress team will use a white label with the name of the document printed in black text.

My RFP requires special packaging. How do I do this?

Many RFPs require both a “Technical” document and a “Cost” document and require that these be placed in separate, labeled, and sealed envelopes. In this case, provide the labels using a 6-up label template (Avery Label #5164). These should be emailed to your CSR before you place your order.

Next, select Special Instruction “MIM-O-COOK” and Special Instruction “MIM-O-COTN” during the checkout of the order.

To ensure that the proper packaging takes place, you must submit a Change Order via email once the order is placed. Please contact your CSR for the exact wording required for the Change Order.

My RFP/Proposal requires a custom label. How do I do this?

Please contact your CSR. We will send you a 6-up label template (Avery #5164). Create your label and upload as a separate document. Then, select Special Instruction MIM-D-0025 – “Custom Labeling for Packages Under Shipping Label”.
