Add Multiple Files to One Document (Mimeo Print)

Since we know business documents are rarely straightforward, we designed our building process to make it easy to create custom, complex bound documents. For example, you can create a spiral notebook with a colored cover and colored graphs, but everything else in black and white.

The key to doing this in Mimeo Print is to upload each section as its own PDF into your library. For example, if you want a color cover, black and white content, and a color back cover, upload each of them as their own PDF.

In another example, you may know that you will need to update Chapter 10 monthly with regulatory updates. Upload Chapter 10 as its own PDF separate from the rest of your document so you can easily swap out the new chapter as often as you need.

Start by choosing your binding: spiral, twin loop, comb, landscape presentation binding, or ring binders.

You will be taken to the first screen of the Mimeo document builder. Here, upload your PDF by clicking the “upload content” button. You’ll see it appear in the left-hand column. Then click “add” to put the file in your document. It will show up in the right-hand column.

You can add as many files as you like. If you need to delete one file, you can choose “remove” or use “remove all” to start over. You can change the order by moving an individual file up or down.

Once you have added and ordered all your files, you can begin customizing your complex document.

From here, you will move into the real-time proof, where you can use your individual files to automatically insert tabs and slip sheets as well as apply thousands of other customizations.

Mimeo Vocabulary:

“File” is the PDF you upload into our library. “Document” is the final product you build such as a binder, notebook, or booklet, which can be comprised of multiple files.
