Mimeo is constantly striving to meet your document printing needs. As part of this effort, we have developed and enhanced the technology around the Mimeo Printer (driver), which will radically improve the experience of uploading files to Mimeo.
With the updated Mimeo Printer, you can:
- Drag and drop multiple files or even folders for uploading
- Queue up as many files as you wish – they’ll upload automatically
- Rename files directly in the upload manager, before or after they are uploaded
- See a history of recent files that have been uploaded
After clicking the download button you will be prompted to either run or save the installation file. Do not run it. To avoid installation errors your should save the file. Once the file has downloaded to your desktop, double-click it to begin installation.
If you have the beta version of the Mimeo Printer installed, we highly recommend you uninstall the beta software before installing the new software. Click Start > All Programs > Mimeo > Uninstall.

What about my Macintosh?
The Mimeo Printer is for PC’s only, and does not support MACs at this time. We recommend using our PDF Uploader for your Mac files.
Do you support 64 bit PCs?
Yes, the latest Mimeo Printer is now available for 64-bit PCs running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. As 64-bit computers become more common in the workplace, Mimeo has upgraded the Printer to be compatible with them.
Do I need to have administration rights on my machine to install the Mimeo Printer?
Yes, we recommend using our PDF Uploader if you are unable to install The Mimeo Printer.
I already have the older Mimeo Printer installed.
The new Mimeo Printer will prompt you to automatically uninstall the older software and replace it with the new one.
Can I have both the older software and the new beta software installed simultaneously?
What if I want to go back?
To reinstall the older printer, simply log in to your account and click on “Get Mimeo Printer” towards the bottom left corner of the screen and follow the on screen instructions.
Drag and Drop
What can I drag?
You can drag and drop a single file, a single folder, or multiple files and folders. When you drag and drop a folder, Mimeo will print all the files in that folder and its sub-folders.
Where can I drop it?
You can drop files and/or folders onto any Mimeo shortcut on your desktop or in your toolbars. You can also drop them directly into the main area of the Upload Manager. Please note that you cannot drop files onto the Mimeo icon in the task tray on the bottom-right corner of your screen.
Can I upload my marketing products with the Mimeo Printer?
For producing marketing documents such as posters, banners, brochures and flyers through Mimeo’s custom builder, upload your files through the online workflow for creating those products instead of using the Mimeo Printer.
Why do applications pop up occasionally?
When you drag and drop one or more files or folders, Mimeo asks the applications they were created in to print them. This is similar to you opening up the application and clicking File>Print, the only difference being that Mimeo is doing this work for you. Some applications need to open completely in order to print a file, so you may see them open, load and print your document, and then close. Other applications don’t need to open to print a file. How each application acts when we ask it to print a file is governed by that application, and not by Mimeo.
How many files can I drag and drop at once?
As many as you’d like! There is no limit. Please be aware that when you drop a large number of files at once, it may occasionally appear as though your computer finished without uploading all the files you indicated. Be patient – your computer is just taking a moment to catch its breath.
How do I switch the Mimeo account I am logged into?
Click on the “Logout” button on the Uploader screen. You can also right-click on the Mimeo icon in the task tray in the lower right-hand corner of your desktop and select “Exit”. You will be prompted to log in again the next time you try to “drag and drop” or print a file.
Can I print page ranges?
Absolutely! Open the file in its application, then click File>Print. On the print dialog screen that appears, select your page range and select “Mimeo” as the printer. Please note that you cannot print page ranges via drag and drop.
Can I print multiple tabs in Excel?
Absolutely! Open the file in Excel, then click File>Print. On the print dialog screen that appears, select either the “Entire Workbook” or “Active Sheet(s)” option (usually in the “Print what” section) and select “Mimeo” as the printer. Please note that you cannot print multiple tabs via drag and drop.
Can I print a PowerPoint presentation with notes?
Absolutely! Open the file in PowerPoint, then click File>Print. On the print dialog screen that appears, select the “Notes” option (usually in the “Print what” section) and select “Mimeo” as the printer. Please note that you cannot print notes via drag and drop.
Will the Mimeo Printer scale down my 11×17 document?
No. You should open the file in its application and manually set the size options before printing.
