The first question to ask when judging quality is if there is a documented measurable rate of quality. According to Infotrends, the print industry analyst group, the average rate of quality in the digital printing industry is between 80% and 85%. This means that 15 documents out of every 100 printed are wrong!
Mimeo deliver’s a quality rating of 99.7%, a level never before achieved in large scale digital document production. Every quality issue, no matter how small, is recorded and escalated to the Executive Team for review and resolution.
We achieve these results through rigorous quality control at every step of the process. Our print production facility is set up like a manufacturing operation. Each stage of the process is isolated into distinct components. Color specialists are only in charge of color printing; collating specialists only collate etc. Technology controls how your project moves through our plant.
Each stage is measured for excellence with the process improved over time. For example, our color presses are cross calibrated every hour so that the color printed on one press matches all the others. To improve this high level of accuracy we are committed to continual investment in our infrastructure and have established quality as a key metric for the organization.
Mimeo has a mechanical engineering department charged with improving our workflow. This team has translated our entire work process into a computer simulation. Systems simulate the amount of work we are receiving each day and then direct manufacturing capacity in real time. New equipment and procedures can be tested in the simulation model which allows us to quickly understand the impact of new equipment and technology.
The only way to experience the Mimeo difference is to see it in action. We encourage all of our customers to visit one of our facilities and see first-hand how a twenty first century print facility works.
