Velo Binding

Some of the publications that we often use this type of construction for include: textbooks, research reports, training manuals, user guides, thesis papers, dissertations, and many other types of publications.

For those unfamiliar with velo binding, this process starts with punching several small holes along the edge of your pages. Once this is completed, a strip of high quality plastic with rigid tines is inserted into the holes from the top of the book. Then another strip with corresponding holes is placed on the back with the tines protruding through. Once everything is lined up correctly, your publication is placed in a machine that holds the book tightly while the excess length of the tines is cut and the tips melted which seals the bind. In some areas this is also known as strip binding.

Two important issues come out of the information that you just read. The first is the level of quality that you get is often determined by the level of quality of the machine and the plastic material used. At Mimeo, we only use the best equipment and the best materials when you produce these types of publications. We know that using lesser quality materials will often result in disappointment. Second, the level of quality is often determined by the personnel who are doing the work. Mimeo personnel are trained and experienced in this type of work and they follow a strict set of quality control policies that ensure that every project is done right the first time.

When you need an affordable and extremely durable construction method for your publications, consider velo binding, especially if the publication has several hundred pages. When you do, consider using Mimeo as your vendor. We are offering a 50 percent discount on your first order as a way of introducing ourselves to you. Why not get started today with Mimeo.com?
